This Agreement (the “Agreement”) is entered into between Miles of Purpose, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with principal place of business at 193 Upshaw Flats Rd, Pittsview, AL 36871, and the individual or entity (“You”) utilizing the website and associated services provided by Miles of Purpose (the “Site” and “Service”).
Please read this Agreement carefully before accessing or using the Site and our SMS program. By accessing or using the Site or participating in the SMS program, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth herein. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the Site or the Service.
1. SMS Messaging Program Terms
Program Name: Miles of Purpose Alerts
Program Description: Upon opting in to Miles of Purpose Alerts, you will receive automated text messages about volunteer opportunities, event reminders, community updates, and announcements. Message frequency may vary.
Opt‑Out: You may cancel SMS service at any time by texting “STOP” to our number. You will receive a confirmation, and no further messages will be sent.
Re‑Subscribe: To rejoin, text “START” to our number or sign up again via the Site, and messaging will resume.

Message & Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply for messages sent by or to you. Message frequency varies; contact your wireless provider for plan details.
Carrier Disclaimer: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

2. Use of Site and Services
Miles of Purpose agrees to make the Site available under this Agreement. Use of the Site is at Your sole risk, on an “as is, as available” basis. Miles of Purpose reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Site or Service at any time without notice or liability.
Miles of Purpose does not warrant uninterrupted or error‑free operation, nor that content is virus‑free. Reliance on information from the Site is at your own risk. Materials provided are for informational purposes only—not legal advice.
3. Content and Usage Rules
You represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years old and agree not to upload or use the Site to post:
- Material that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Content infringing others’ intellectual property or privacy rights
- Harmful code, viruses, or solicitations of illegal activity
You agree not to use bots or scraping tools to access or copy Site content without permission.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on the Site is protected under copyright and owned by Miles of Purpose or its licensors. You may view and print content for personal, non‑commercial use. Any other copying, reproduction, or distribution requires written permission.

6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Alabama, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles. Any disputes must be brought in state or federal court in Russell County, Alabama, and you consent to personal jurisdiction therein.
7. Modification & Termination
Miles of Purpose may modify this Agreement at any time by posting revised terms on the Site, effective immediately. Continued use after modification implies acceptance. Either party may terminate this Agreement without notice; upon termination you must cease using the Site and Service.
8. Miscellaneous
- This Agreement represents the entire agreement between you and Miles of Purpose regarding your use of the Site and Service.
- If any provision is deemed invalid, the remainder remains enforceable.
- No waiver by Miles of Purpose shall be effective unless explicit and in writing.
By accessing or using the Site or subscribing to the SMS program, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Agreement.
